What DL Plug keeps

• Your email address, if you log in with email: to send you login links and, if you turn them on, emails about your scans and new free downloads from artists you follow. Login links work once and expire after 15 minutes; only a fingerprint of each link is stored, never the link itself.
• Your scans: the playlist link or file name you checked and the results, so you can see them again under "My scans". The song list itself is kept only until the scan finishes.
• Uploaded files: read to get the list of songs, then discarded. Uploads that aren't scanned are removed after about two hours.
• Artists you follow and your email preference for alerts.
• Reports you send with "Wrong result?" or "I know this one's free".
• A login cookie that keeps you logged in for up to 30 days. DL Plug uses no advertising or tracking cookies and no analytics services.
• Your IP address, briefly and in memory only, to limit how often login links can be requested.

What DL Plug shares

DL Plug doesn't sell your data. To check songs it sends song titles and artist names (never your email) to public music services such as SoundCloud, Apple's iTunes Search, Spotify's public pages and Bandcamp. It uses service providers to run: Render (hosting and database) and Resend (sending login and alert emails). Emails you send us are handled by our email provider.

Your choices

• Turn off alert emails any time with the link in each email or the checkbox in the app.
• Ask us to delete your account, scans, follows and reports: email support@dlplug.app. We'll delete them within 30 days. Copies in our hosting provider's database backups are removed when those backups expire on its regular schedule.
• Ask for a copy of the data DL Plug keeps about you, or ask us to correct it: email support@dlplug.app. We'll answer within 30 days.
• Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California), you may have more rights under local privacy law. Email us and we'll honor them.

Children

DL Plug isn't meant for anyone under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child under 13 has given us their email, contact support@dlplug.app and we'll delete it.
